July Enhancements: Service Event & DVIR Processes

What are they? Head's up: The enhancements described below are set to improve the service event and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR) processes.

  • The equipment owner identification has now been optimized better for tractors and trailers during event creation. 

  • Service events cannot be completed unless the "Job", "Defect," and "Location" fields are completed in the service event line items.

  • REACH creates service events for defective categories when users begin pre-trip and general inspections with unsafe conditions.

  • Dashboard performance has been improvement so that auto-refresh wait times are reduced.

Why are they important? These enhancements provide for increased driver safety measures and in providing complete information exchange between parties. Faster dashboard refresh times allow users to remain informed without the spinning wheel, and the automatic service event creation for defective parts in a non-post-trip inspection contributes to safety and efficiency gains for drivers while keeping dispatchers informed.

Who gets them? All user types will be able to view the service event-related and dashboard loading speed enhancements. Trucking dispatchers that have been granted access to DVIR creation will receive the updates regarding these reports.
